EB62 MANUAL TRANSAXLE: MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL

NOTICE:
When the transaxle is removed, be sure to use a new clutch release with bearing cylinder and new installation bolts. Removal of the transaxle allows the compressed clutch release with bearing cylinder to return to its original position, and dust from the moving section could damage the seal of the clutch release with bearing cylinder, possibly causing clutch fluid leaks.

1. REMOVE ENGINE ASSEMBLY WITH TRANSAXLE

2. INSTALL ENGINE HANGERS Removal

3. DISCONNECT WIRE HARNESS

(a) Remove the nut and clamp.





(b) Remove the 2 bolts and disconnect the 2 connectors and wire harnesses from the manual transaxle.

4. REMOVE STARTER ASSEMBLY Removal

5. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH Removal

6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT LH HOLE SNAP RING Disassembly

7. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH Removal

8. REMOVE FRONT FRAME ASSEMBLY Removal

9. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR ASSEMBLY Removal

10. REMOVE NO. 1 EXHAUST PIPE SUPPORT BRACKET Removal

11. REMOVE MANUAL TRANSAXLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 10 bolts and manual transaxle.





12. REMOVE FRONT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET

(a) Remove the 3 bolts and front engine mounting bracket.





13. REMOVE ENGINE MOUNTING INSULATOR LH Removal

14. DISCONNECT CLUTCH LINE Removal

15. REMOVE CLUTCH ACCUMULATOR ASSEMBLY Removal

16. REMOVE CLUTCH FLEXIBLE HOSE BRACKET

(a) Remove the bolt and clutch line.





(b) Remove the bolt and clutch flexible hose bracket.





17. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE BLEEDER SUB-ASSEMBLY Removal

18. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE WITH BEARING CYLINDER ASSEMBLY Removal

19. REMOVE CLUTCH RELEASE CYLINDER TO BLEEDER TUBE Removal

20. REMOVE WIRE HARNESS CLAMP BRACKET

(a) Remove the bolt and wire harness clamp bracket.





21. REMOVE SPEEDOMETER DRIVEN HOLE COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the bolt and speedometer driven hole cover sub-assembly from the transaxle case.





(b) Remove the O-ring from the speedometer driven hole cover sub-assembly.
